A French woman lost Rs 7.5 crore to a romance scam involving fake Brad Pitt accounts, using AI-generated videos and emotional manipulation.

A 53-year-old French interior designer named Anne fell prey to a sophisticated romance scam, losing her life savings of Rs 7.5 crore. The scam involved fake accounts impersonating Hollywood actor Brad Pitt and his mother, convincing Anne of a fabricated love affair. Emotionally vulnerable due to her ongoing divorce, Anne was lured in by romantic messages, AI-generated videos, and false promises. The ordeal not only drained her finances but also left her grappling with the emotional toll of betrayal.
